Jr. Year Enrollment Time
You know that spring is around the corner when pre enrollment forms come home. You also know that time is slipping by way to quickly for a mother's liking when you have to check out college websites for required course lists for areas of study when planning for the last 2 years of High School. You also know that your child is way smarter than you when you can't even pronounce a majority of the classes not to mention understand the content of those courses. Connor is still thinking he would like to pursue a career in Mechanical & Nuclear Engineering after his days at AHS are over. That is more than this mom can wrap her heart and mind around at the moment but I can assure you that I am going to enjoy every minute of the next 2 1/2 years that he has left at home!

Ryan is 17!
Where have the years gone?
I will never forget the thrill of finding out I was going to be an aunt for the very first time or the phone call that announced "it's a boy!" It's hard to believe that my Ry-Boy is 17. Ryan, you have grown into an outstanding young man with extraordinary morals and character. Happy Birthday to you. I love you "to outer space and back"!

Happy Birthday Tearney
Last year on this date, my friend Brandi was in the hospital with her youngest daughter. Unfortunately, she was unable to be home to celebrate her daughter Tearney's birthday in typical fashion so I stood in as proxy. I had a ball fixing spaghetti, wrapping presents, baking a cake, and being the official photographer to document the party in photos to send to Brandi the moment I got home. What did we ever do without the internet? Apparently, I did such a grand job (in the eyes of a 5 year old) that about a month ago, Miss Tearney informed me at recess that she would like a horse cake this year. She had it all planned out.. it was to be "chocolate with banilla frosting". The girl had put a lot of thought into this. She even followed up on Monday to make sure I hadn't forgot. "My birthday is in two days.... you're making my horse cake..smile, smile." I thought I was going to melt right there on the playground. To say the least I was honored to be part of her special day and will continue to bake her cakes for as long as she would like (or until she figures out Country Mart decorates really cool cakes...then I'll buy them for her!)
Happy Birthday Kimmi
