Our Baby Boy is 16!
It's official, Connor is a legal driver as of 1:26 AM. He got advise from his cousin Ryan yesterday, aim for the streets and try to stay off the sidewalks! Hasn't my baby boy grown into a handsome young man? Ok, I am a bias mom but what can I say? We are headed to Famous Daves tonight to celebrate..yum, yum.. I wonder who will drive?

Beauty In A Basket
Hanging on the wall of our front porch, I have a basket that I fill with flowers throughout the year. A mama bird has taken up residency in the basket and has prepared a nursery for her young. Now a bird lover I am not but I must admit I am enjoying peeking in at "my" eggs each day when I get home from work. I am eagerly anticipating the day when the eggs crack and we have 3 new beings on our property! When that day arrives everyone might have to enter our house through the garage or back door, so if you come for a visit and our front porch is roped off..don't be alarmed..I just don't want you to disturb the babies! LOL

Bringing Home the Gold...
The JV Cowboy Tennis team hosted it's tournament yesterday. They amazed the hometown crowd with an outstanding performance and placed 1st as a team. Connor played doubles for the first time this year. He and his partner, Jordan worked well together and walked away with the gold. Finally the weather was beautiful and it felt like spring!
Track update: Breckyn is headed to Beloit today and will be throwing the discus. She also found out that she might be running in a relay. She was a little nervous about this and said many prayers last night that this would not pan out. Overall, she is having a blast with her track experience. Especially the social aspect! She is quick to tell Bryan and I that we don't need to come to the meets to only watch her throw the discus 3 times. Could it be that mom and dad cramp her style?

The Easter Egg Hunt That Wasn't
My nieces that I love to pieces!
The boys were not into High School Musical 3 so they found entertainment of their own.
Easter was held at our house this year. Both sides of the family came and we had a great time. Bryan and I worked together to pull off a yummy meal. That man can roast one mean turkey! We prepared a ham for the very first time in our 18 years of marriage and I peeled so many potatoes that I got a blister on my finger! I wondered if maybe when I am the Nana that our family tradition should be to go out to eat! One thing is for sure, we have enough leftovers to last us the entire week plus some! No cooking for me this week....YEAH!!
